Turkey Ranks First in Agricultural Output in Europe

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated in a post on his social media account that farmers continue to add value to the Turkish economy.

Citing data from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Bank, Yumaklı said, “Turkey ranked first in Europe and among the top 10 countries in the world with an agricultural output of 68.5 billion dollars in 2023. I wholeheartedly congratulate all our sector stakeholders who contributed to this success.”

The post also included information that Turkey achieved a 16 percent increase in agricultural output in 2023 compared to the previous year.
